Good Faith Estimate

 

Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who are not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for health care services.

Peace Community Counseling provides services on a private-pay basis. This means that clients are responsible for the cost of services and payment is due according to the practice’s payment policies.

Before you begin services, Peace Community Counseling will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care based on the services that are anticipated at the time the estimate is prepared.

Your Good Faith Estimate may include the expected charges for counseling sessions and other services that are reasonably anticipated. Because counseling is an individualized process, the length and frequency of services may change over time based on your needs and preferences. If your expected services change significantly, Peace Community Counseling will provide an updated estimate when appropriate.

The Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of expected costs, not a guarantee of the services you will receive or the total amount you will ultimately pay.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing before services begin. If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill under federal law.
